Job Description

Job Description Summary

‎

The Regional Medical Director, Extended Care is a senior physician leader responsible for the clinical, operational, and strategic performance of an assigned team. This role provides leadership across multiple care teams, provider teams, and interdisciplinary clinical functions to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes within a value-based care model.

This leader is accountable for translating enterprise strategy into execution while ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and sustained provider performance.

Partnering with medical services and other support teams, they are ultimately responsible for driving quality outcomes, total cost of care performance, utilization management, provider engagement, and clinical excellence across multiple teams.

The role is accountable for advancing population health strategies, supporting provider performance, and ensuring regulatory and quality compliance within the region.

CareMore’s model is deeply rooted in population health, proactive care coordination, and high-risk member management, so this role is highly focused on outcomes, prevention, and reducing avoidable utilization.

This is often a people leader role over multiple physician leaders, not just individual clinicians.
