The counselor will be responsible for teaching weekly, evening, and/or Saturday educational classes and facilitating groups for students. Key duties also include facilitating private individual face-to-face meetings and maintaining accurate student progress notes.
Candidates must possess experience working in alcohol and/or drug recovery programs and hold a Certified Addiction Counselor credential. A thorough knowledge of alcohol/drugs, the recovery process, and sensitivity to diverse cultural issues are required.
