Detox Substance Abuse Counselor

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include performing comprehensive intake assessments, collaborative treatment planning according to ASAM guidelines, and providing individual or group treatment based on best practices. The counselor will also provide facility coverage, monitor medication, conduct drug testing, and participate in case reviews.

Requirements

A minimum of two years of experience in Substance Abuse is required, with preference given to Certified AOD Counselors, though candidates pursuing certification are considered. Candidates must possess experience with multicultural populations, crisis management, trauma-informed care, and co-occurring disorders.
