Key Responsibilities
Externs will participate in all aspects of patient care, including gathering histories, performing physical exams, and assisting in surgeries. They are also responsible for developing diagnostic plans and maintaining accurate medical records under the supervision of a mentor doctor.
Requirements
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited DVM program and authorized to work in the United States. Applicants are required to carry professional liability insurance, such as AVMA PLIT.
