Nurse Practitioner (Addiction Medicine) – Agawam, MA (Part-Time)
Join Pyramid Healthcare as a Nurse Practitioner (or Physician Assistant) supporting adult Substance Use Disorder treatment at our new Springfield/Agawam facility. In this role, you will deliver client-centered medical care across residential and detox levels of care, collaborating closely with nursing, psychiatry, and primary care teams to help clients reclaim their health and independence.

Schedule
Part-Time – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Compensation
$80 per hour and up (based on experience and credentials)
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive history and physicals (H&Ps) and ongoing medical evaluations; review labs and monitor therapeutic levels
Manage acute medical issues and sick calls; develop safe and compliant discharge and transition plans
Provide medical support for adult residential and detox programs; coordinate care with psychiatry and primary care providers
Optimize post-discharge medications; assist with prior authorizations and cost-effective treatment options
Complete accurate and timely documentation in the EHR while maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory standards
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to program development and improvements
If applicable: Evaluate and manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including buprenorphine, in accordance with credentialing and state regulations
Qualifications
- Required:
- Active Massachusetts license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP/CRNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- National certification in good standing
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Addiction Medicine, Behavioral Health, or related setting with SUD exposure
Experience working in interdisciplinary teams and comfort in residential and/or detox settings
Preferred
- Experience with MAT and withdrawal management protocols
- Familiarity with medication prior authorizations and cost-containment strategies
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
- Involvement in quality improvement or patient safety initiatives
