Key Responsibilities
The Behavioral Health Navigator provides immediate support to patients in acute psychological distress within the Emergency Department by performing risk assessments and crisis interventions. They also coordinate patient dispositions, facilitate discharge planning, and collaborate with medical staff to ensure appropriate care.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or higher in a mental health discipline and possess a valid Massachusetts clinical practice license such as LICSW or LMHC. A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, preferably in a hospital setting, is required.
