Job Description

  • Part-Time Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD/PsyD)
  • $80–$90/hr | Hybrid | Set Your Schedule
  • Valencia · Torrance · Westlake Village, California

New U Therapy Center & Family Services is a thriving, innovative outpatient practice with beautiful offices in Valencia, Torrance, and Westlake Village. We're growing fast and looking for a licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) to join us part-time and help our clients and families do their best work in therapy.

  • Why Choose a W-2 Role with New U Over Going It Alone
  • Contractor platforms leave the costs and hassle to you. Here, we take care of the business side so you can focus on clinical work:
  • We pay the employer payroll taxes that 1099 clinicians pay themselves.
  • Malpractice insurance is covered at no cost to you.
  • Credentialing to insurance panels is provided so you don't have to do the paperwork.

Billing and overhead are handled. No rent, no EHR fees, no chasing payments.

Established, steady referrals so you can build your schedule quickly instead of starting from zero.

Annual CEU reimbursement stipend to keep your license and skills current.

What Makes Us Different

Beautiful, modern offices — designed to feel calm and welcoming for you and your clients, not like a typical clinic.

True hybrid flexibility — set a schedule that supports your life outside of work, with a mix of in-person and telehealth sessions across all three locations.

An in-house psychiatry department — psychiatry and functional psychiatry providers on staff, so you can consult and coordinate care directly instead of playing phone tag.

Monthly clinical trainings — including functional psychiatry, so you keep growing without seeking it out on your own.

A collaborative culture — a multidisciplinary team with expertise in trauma, child and play therapy, LGBTQ+ care, EMDR, eating disorders, couples therapy, and more. You'll never practice in isolation.

What You'll Do

Provide psychotherapy — in-person and telehealth therapy for individuals, couples, and/or families based on clinical need.

Maintain 15–20 billable sessions per week while balancing quality of care and documentation.

Collaborate across disciplines — consult and coordinate care with our in-house psychiatry team, therapists, and other providers.

Keep documentation current — timely, accurate notes in line with organizational and professional/regulatory standards.

Grow with your peers — peer case consultations, monthly trainings, and team-based learning.

Help shape our culture — clinical excellence, mutual respect, collaboration, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

What You'll Need

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an accredited program.
  • Active, unrestricted California Psychologist license (Board of Psychology).
  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in outpatient mental health or private practice.
  • A commitment to strong therapeutic relationships and meaningful client outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay: $80–$90 per clinical hour, plus paid admin time at $18/hour.
  • Malpractice insurance covered.
  • Annual CEU reimbursement stipend.
  • Credentialing to insurance panels provided.
  • 401(k) with up to 3% match to help secure your financial future.
  • 40 hours of paid sick time.
  • Monthly company lunches and events, plus annual team-building activities.
  • Electronic health record platform for streamlined documentation.

Location & Schedule

Part-time, non-exempt W-2 position. In-person, hybrid, and telehealth options available across Valencia, Torrance, and Westlake Village.

Ready to join a practice where clinical collaboration and quality of life go hand in hand? We'd love to hear from you.
