Physical Therapist Assistant

Key Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist Assistant implements treatment plans designed by physical therapists to assist patients in recovering from injuries or managing chronic conditions. They also monitor patient progress, document responses, and educate patients on home exercise programs and safety.

Requirements

Candidates must have completed an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program and hold current state licensure. Additionally, a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and a strong understanding of human anatomy and therapeutic exercise principles are required.
