Schedule
Join a growing Orthopaedics service line in this full-time, 40-hour position. The anticipated schedule is four 10-hour shifts per week, with time split between the operating room and outpatient clinic. As two new joint replacement surgeons continue to build their practices, the exact clinic and OR schedule will evolve over time. Enjoy excellent work-life balance with no nights, weekends, or call responsibilities.
Where You'll Work
You'll support a newly expanding Orthopaedic Joint Replacement team focused primarily on hip and knee procedures. Surgical cases will take place at New England Baptist Hospital and BID Needham. Clinic locations are currently being finalized as the second surgeon joins the practice, providing an exciting opportunity to help shape a growing program from the ground up.
What You'll Do
As an Orthopaedic NP/PA, you'll partner with two joint replacement surgeons, supporting patients throughout their surgical journey.
Responsibilities will include first assisting in the operating room, conducting clinic visits, evaluating patients, managing follow-up and post-operative care, and collaborating closely with the surgeons on treatment plans.
This role is ideal for a provider with Orthopaedic experience and the ability to confidently transition into the OR from day one.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Performs history and physical examinations, formulation of care plans, ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests and provides education to patients and their families.
Acts as an educator and serves as a clinical resource for staff through consultation formal and informal education, review of literature and participation in seminars and conferences.
Coordinates the care of patients in order to provide safe, effective, efficient and timely patient centered care. Liaises between visiting nurses, clinical staff and consult services. Care plans and execution of those plans should encompass the entire service to tie the service together. Consults with physicians or surgeons regarding the care of patients for more complex diagnosis.
Document clinical encounters clearly, precisely and in a timely manner.
Works in a collaborative relationship with other health professional to determine health needs of patients and families. Demonstrates and role models an interdisciplinary collaborate approach to patient care.
Provide direct patient care and management for all opiod patients.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree required in Nursing. Master's degree preferred.
- License required: Nursing License, and Certificate 1 required: Basic Life Support
- 0-1 years related work experience required.
- MA Board authorization to practice as an APRN NRSG
- Valid prescriptive authority from both the MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA
- American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certificate
Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a teaching hospital and speciality area expertise.
- Experience in Pain Management preferred.

Physical Nature of the Job

Pay Range
$133,120.00 USD - $230,000.00 USD
The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
