Key Responsibilities
The Mental Health Assistant provides direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, and supporting therapeutic unit activities. They also ensure a safe environment by performing patient observations, property searches, and assisting with de-escalation or containment when necessary.
Requirements
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a Heartsaver/CPR certification. Applicants are required to pass a Nursing Attendant test administered by the medical center and demonstrate strong communication and administrative skills.
