Join Delta Health Center as a Family Medicine Physician in Mound Bayou, Mississippi.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary Care Delivery: Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages — pediatric, adult, and geriatric — within the clinic system, with a focus on preventive health, chronic disease management, and health promotion.
- Diagnosis & Treatment: Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic illnesses including but not limited to hypertension, diabetes, asthma, cardiovascular disease, and infectious conditions, using evidence-based clinical practices.
- Urgent Care: Address urgent and walk-in medical needs within the FQHC setting, providing timely assessment and treatment to patients requiring immediate care.
- Assessment & Examination: Perform comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations, conduct risk assessments, order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests (e. g., labs, imaging, EKGs), and manage follow-up care accordingly.
Requirements
- Education and/or Experience.
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Residency: Completion of an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine residency program is required.
- Licensure: Current, valid medical license to practice as a Family Physician in the State of Mississippi, or eligibility to obtain prior to start date.
