Behavioral Health Specialist

Key Responsibilities

The Behavioral Health Specialist provides primary community support and case management to mentally ill, homeless, and substance abuse clients, actively participating as a team member in service delivery and coordination. Essential duties include conducting intake screenings, developing service plans, making referrals, maintaining client files, and providing advocacy through home visits and assistance with accessing services.

Requirements

Candidates must possess an Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, along with two years of closely related work experience, and must be eligible for Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration. Successful candidates must be fluent in Spanish and English, have good organizational and communication skills, pass a background check, and be able to use their own car daily for job duties.
