Pain Physical Therapist

Key Responsibilities

The physical therapist will assess patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to reduce pain and restore function. They are also responsible for monitoring patient progress, revising treatment plans as needed, and educating patients and families on managing deficits.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least two years of hospital or ambulatory care experience and meet specific clinical practice or certification requirements, such as 2,000 hours of chronic pain physical therapy experience. An advanced degree or fellowship in a related specialty is also considered as a qualifying requirement.
