Key Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner will be integrated with attending physicians to provide comprehensive care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, involving active participation in decision-making, rounds, and advanced nursing care for critically ill infants, children, and adolescents. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, performing procedures, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

Requirements

Essential qualifications include a Master's degree in nursing or equivalent, Nurse Practitioner certification from a recognized Canadian program, and current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in the Extended Class. Candidates must also possess a minimum of 3-5 years of RN experience in a pediatric specialty and current Basic Life Support certification.
