Key Responsibilities

The general dentist is responsible for diagnosing and treating oral diseases, injuries, and malformations using various dental instruments and procedures. They also provide preventive dental education and coordinate laboratory services while adhering to safety and OSHA protocols.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a DDS or DMD degree and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of practice. A current BLS and CPR certification is required, with preference given to those who have completed a GPR or AEGD residency.
