Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Full-Time & Part-Time

Jefferson Health is seeking full-time and part-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join our growing anesthesia team at Einstein Philadelphia, a premier academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center in Philadelphia.
Einstein Philadelphia offers a highly collaborative clinical environment with a diverse and complex case mix across multiple specialties, including trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, urology, and gastroenterology. Our CRNAs work alongside experienced anesthesiologists utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and Cerner EMR within a Magnet-designated hospital committed to excellence in patient care.
More than 40% of our anesthesia staff have been with the organization for 15 years or longer, reflecting the strong culture, stability, and professional satisfaction within our department.
Position Summary
The CRNA is responsible for delivering high-quality anesthesia care in collaboration with attending anesthesiologists. This role includes pre-operative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management, post-anesthesia care, and participation in departmental initiatives focused on quality, safety, and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-anesthetic evaluations and patient preparation
  • Administer and manage general anesthesia for a wide variety of surgical procedures
  • Monitor and adjust patient physiologic status throughout procedures
  • Provide spinal, epidural, caudal, and peripheral nerve block anesthesia
  • Deliver post-anesthesia and resuscitative care until patients are stabilized
  • Accurately document patient care within Cerner EMR
  • Collaborate effectively with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in departmental conferences, quality initiatives, and educational activities
  • Support patient safety, operational excellence, and patient satisfaction goals
  • Participate in call responsibilities and departmental scheduling rotations as needed
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program
  • Current CRNA certification and licensure
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced academic and team-oriented environment
