Responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis, surgical and non-surgical treatment, inpatient admissions, postoperative care, management of post-operative complications, care of the critically ill neurosurgical patients in the ICU, and ordering and interpretation of diagnostic studies including MRI, CT, CTA, MRA, and other Neuro-diagnostic testing; perform complex cranial and spinal surgical procedures, including brain tumors, cranial and spinal trauma, cerebrovascular disorders, intracranial infections, spinal infections, hydrocephalus, degenerative spine disease, spinal tumors, deformities, spinal fusion, spinal cord compression and other neurosurgical pathologist; participate in on-call neurosurgical coverage and emergency in neurosurgical interventions; collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation specialists, healthcare professionals, multidisciplinary teams and rehabilitation supportive services to coordinate and ensure comprehensive patient care; physician must have completed Residency in Neurosurgery, must have completed Fellowships in Complex Spine Surgery and in Pediatric Neurosurgery, and must possess valid State of Michigan medical license.
