About the Role
Alum Creek Veterinary Center LLC is looking for a passionate and experienced DVM Medical Director to lead our dedicated veterinary team in Delaware, OH. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the medical culture of a growing practice while continuing to do the hands-on clinical work you love. Responsibilities
Provide high-quality veterinary medical care including examinations, diagnostics, surgery, and treatment for small animals
- Lead, mentor, and support clinical staff to uphold standards of medical excellence
- Develop and enforce hospital medical protocols, policies, and best practices
Oversee patient care quality and ensure compliance with state veterinary regulations and licensing requirements
- Collaborate with Practice Manager on staffing, equipment, and hospital operations
- Foster a positive, team-oriented clinic culture focused on compassionate patient and client care
- Assist in onboarding and continuing education of veterinary and support staff
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution
- Active and unrestricted Ohio veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Minimum of 5 years clinical veterinary experience
- Prior leadership, supervisory, or mentorship experience preferred
- Strong surgical and diagnostic skills across a broad range of cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and staff
- Commitment to evidence-based medicine and continuing education
