Key Responsibilities

The surgeon is responsible for organizing and directing the thoracic donor organ transplant recovery program, including the procurement of heart and lung grafts. They will also collaborate with medical staff to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote quality assurance in transplant procedures.

Requirements

Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Thoracic Surgery with a valid medical license and extensive experience in thoracic transplantation. A minimum of two years of documented experience with a UNOS-qualified transplant program is required.
