Key Responsibilities

The Radiation Therapist administers ionizing radiation and assists in the planning of patient treatment under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist. They are also responsible for performing simulation procedures, maintaining patient safety standards, and participating in departmental quality assurance initiatives.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED and have completed a formal Radiation Therapy Program from an AMA-approved body. Additionally, applicants must possess or be eligible for ARRT certification and hold a valid Illinois Emergency Medical Agency (IEMA) license.
