This on-site, contract role is located in Bryan and offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment.

As a Hospitalist, you will play a critical role in managing patient care within the hospital setting, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients in Internal Medicine
  • Collaborate closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families about care options
  • Adhere to hospital policies and legal requirements for patient care
  • Participate in hospital committees and continuing education efforts
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Current medical license to practice in the state
  • Experience in Internal Medicine, particularly in a hospitalist role
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate patient care
  • Level III Trauma Center

Schedule: 12-hour day or night shifts

Daily Volume: 17-20 patients

Patient Population: All adult and geriatric

Open ICU on site

Duties: Admissions & rounding

No procedures required

Support Staff:3 admins on site and APPs

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified

BLS and DEA required

Paid travel and expenses
