Job description
Position Summary
The Audiologist provides audiology services in clinic locations for individuals
of all ages. Ensures services meet organizational guidelines, funder
requirements and accreditation standards.
Essential Functions
* Evaluates hearing sensitivity and acuity using appropriate evidence-based
procedures.
* Provides management, consultation, and follow-up recommendations for
individuals demonstrating disorders in auditory communication.
* Selects, orders, and fits individuals with appropriate ear mold(s), hearing
aid(s), or assistive technology.
* Serves as a supervisor for student clinicians.
* Participates in local health fairs and community education seminars.
* Produces written reports and maintains appropriate chart notes on all
individuals within the same day of service.
* Monitors accuracy and completeness of files. Maintains accurate and complete
records in the electronic medical record.

plans as needed.

* Knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of
hearing aid programming software.

Qualifications
* Must have Doctorate of Audiology (AuD).
* Must have, or obtain within 90 days, state license and maintain current
licensure.
Additional Requirements
* This position primarily works weekday daytime hours. May work evenings or
weekends depending on the needs of the organization.
* This position requires driving personal vehicle for meetings and community
events.
* Must have reliable vehicle and maintain current driver's license and proof of
insurance.
* Must complete and maintain all required trainings/certifications.
* Must maintain confidential information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Key Responsibilities
The Audiologist evaluates hearing sensitivity, manages auditory disorders, and fits patients with hearing aids or assistive technology. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate medical records and supervising student clinicians.
