Traveling Oral Surgery Dental Assistant - Part Time

At Great Expressions Dental Centers, we're seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our team and positively impact our patients' oral health. This part-time role is scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and requires travel between the following locations:

• Boynton Beach
• 930 N Congress Avenue, Suite 200
• Boynton Beach, FL 33426
• Coral Springs – Atlantic Blvd
• 9601 W Atlantic Boulevard
• Coral Springs, FL 33071
• Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
• Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
• Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately

Qualifications

Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate.

• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus

Requirements

• Before applying, it is imperative that you meet the state requirements outlined below.
• Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.

Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays).

Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.

Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations.

Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it.

• New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
• New York: Not applicable.
• Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays)
• Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
