Job description

Chief Medical Officer

Full-Time | Executive Leadership | Florida's Treasure Coast

Lead clinical strategy and innovation for a mission-driven care organization — and do it while living minutes from the Atlantic Ocean. Treasure Health is looking for a physician executive who wants to build new programs, elevate quality of care, and leave a lasting mark on how care is delivered across Florida's Treasure Coast.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is Treasure Health's senior physician executive, driving clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and forward-thinking program development. This is a role for a leader who wants more than to maintain standards — who wants to build what's next, bring the latest thinking in healthcare delivery into daily practice, and shape an organization's clinical future. The CMO reports directly to the CEO and partners closely with executive leadership on strategy and growth.

WHY JOIN TREASURE HEALTH?

* Real influence — shape clinical strategy and program direction at the executive level, not just execute it
* Build what's next — launch new clinical programs and service lines that expand the organization's impact
* Coastal lifestyle — live and work minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, with year-round sun and a relaxed pace of life
* A culture that matches your values — collaborative, mission-driven, and as committed to compassion as to clinical excellence
* Competitive executive compensation and benefits

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide medical direction across all care services.
* Lead the identification, design, and implementation of new clinical programs and service lines, staying current on emerging healthcare models, payment structures, and best practices
* Own regulatory compliance and quality performance — monitoring outcomes, safety, and documentation standards, and ensuring survey and audit readiness
* Set and enforce clinical practice standards for physicians and APRNs, addressing performance through coaching and structured improvement
* Drive strategic growth through new service lines, community partnerships, and referral relationships
* Represent the organization externally as a clinical ambassador to hospitals, SNFs/ALFs, and physician partners

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

* MD or DO degree with board certification (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related specialty)
* Active or eligible Florida medical license
* 5+ years of clinical experience, with proven ability to guide clinical strategy across palliative care and serious-illness management.

Preferred

* Prior leadership role (Medical Director, Associate CMO, or similar)
* Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MPH) and experience with value-based care models
* A track record of launching new clinical programs or initiatives

CORE COMPETENCIES

* Clinical excellence and program innovation
* Regulatory compliance and data-driven quality management
* Leadership, team building, and conflict resolution
* Fluency in emerging healthcare programs, models, and industry trends

READY TO LEAD WITH PURPOSE?

If you're a physician leader ready to shape clinical strategy, build new programs, and make a lasting impact — while enjoying life on Florida's beautiful Treasure Coast — we want to hear from you. Apply today.
