Key Responsibilities

The Cardiovascular Intensivist provides comprehensive care to acutely ill patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. They also lead cardiovascular care protocols and contribute to clinical education and research initiatives.

Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree, be board certified or eligible in Critical Care Medicine, and possess a valid Texas medical license. Proficiency in advanced procedures such as ECMO and Impella placement is required or must be learned.
