The Respiratory Care Practitioner performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients. They are also responsible for maintaining equipment and providing phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required.
Candidates must be certified or licensed to practice respiratory care in the state of employment and hold current BLS and ACLS certifications. A high school diploma is required, with an associate degree preferred, along with at least one year of clinical respiratory experience.
