Pay Range

$34.21 - $51.31

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors
including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a PRN Radiation Therapist to
join our Radiation Oncology team. This role provides compassionate,
patient-centered care while delivering safe and accurate radiation treatments as
part of a collaborative oncology care team. The Radiation Therapist is
responsible for the simulation and administration of radiation therapy
treatments using CT simulation technology and linear accelerator equipment while
following treatment plans prescribed by radiation oncologists.

o Core Function: Rehab/Therapy/Sleep
o Schedule: PRN - 8a-430pm is standard shift but by vary due to pt. volume, no
weekend, call or holiday responsibilites
o Facility: O'Fallon Cancer Center
o Location: O’Fallon, IL

Education Qualifications

* Associates in Radiation Therapy or graduate of an accredited Radiation
Therapy program is required.
* Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy is preferred.
* Associates Degree required for those graduating from Radiation Therapy
program after 12/31/14.

Experience Qualifications

* One year experience in Radiation Therapy is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

* IEMA-Radiation Therapy (Illinois Emergency Management Association) is
required in Illinois.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30 days of hire.
* ARRT registered in radiation therapy or successful completion of a Radiation
Therapy program and eligible to take the certification exam in Radiation
Therapy as defined by the American Registration of Radiologic Technologist
(ARRT). Colleague must complete and pass a certification and registration
exam in accordance with the eligibility requirements of ARRT within one year
of hire.

Responsible for the simulation and administration of radiation therapy using CT scanners and linear accelerators. Must follow the prescriptions of a radiation oncologist to provide patient care.

Requirements

Requires an Associate degree in Radiation Therapy and IEMA-Radiation Therapy certification in Illinois. BLS certification and ARRT registration or eligibility are also required.
