Key Responsibilities
The pharmacist serves as a primary contact for specialty medication needs, enrolling patients into management programs, providing counseling, and performing medication therapy management to optimize drug regimens. They also coordinate drug distribution, collaborate with clinical staff and providers, and provide limited supervision for Specialty Pharmacy Care Coordinators.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy and hold an active Kentucky Board of Pharmacy license. One to three years of related work experience or completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency program is preferred.
