Job Description
Innovative Therapeutic Services (ITS) is expanding throughout Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) and we are seeking passionate and dedicated providers to join our growing family in our Gaithersburg, MD cluster for upcoming 2026-2027 school year.
Providers must be licensed in the State of Maryland (LMSW/LCSW-C/LGPC/LCPC/LCMFT). They will be responsible for providing mental health services to elementary-high school students in the school setting during the school year and/or via telehealth (break season).
Qualifications and Skills
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or Social Work
- Licensed LMSW/LCSWC/LGPC/LCPC/LCMFT in the State of Maryland (active and in good standing)
Proficient in Microsoft Office, internet, EHR/EMR, excellent oral and written communication skills, and reliable transportation.
- The position requires flexibility, organizational skills, creativity, and self-sufficiency.
- Responsibilities and Duties
Complete a minimum weekly billable hours by providing individual, family, and/or group therapy in a school setting (telehealth when needed).
Complete and maintain accurate documentation of client psychosocial evaluations/reassessments, progress notes, treatment plans, discharge/transition summaries, charts, and weekly billing sheets.
Assess and develop individual treatment plans semi-annually.
Assess clients' needs for other types of services such as PRP, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, or referrals for outside treatment based on client needs.
Participate in and complete evidence-based practice trainings as required by the organization and implement evidence-based interventions and treatment modalities in clinical practice.
Demonstrate fidelity to evidence-based treatment models, incorporating learned skills and techniques into client care and treatment planning.
Attend and participate in weekly/bi-weekly/monthly supervision, clinical staff meetings, clinical training, evidence-based practice trainings, and professional development activities as scheduled.
Other duties as assigned.

Board Certified Supervisors are available for Licensed Graduate Professional Counselors and Licensed Master Social Workers who may need individual and/or group supervision hours.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in a relevant field and possess an active, good-standing license in the State of Maryland (LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC, or LCMFT). Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EHR systems, and reliable transportation are required for this role.
