Overview
Carle Health is seeking an additional BE/BC Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join our Hospitalist team in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois.
Opportunity Details
- PRN position
- Join an established Hospitalist program with a dedicated Nocturnist team
- Cover a 12-bed open ICU with support from our Intensivist team
- No procedures
- Nursing floor based rounding
- Hospitalists run all codes
- Provide coverage for a regional location nearby the Bloomington-Normal area
Opportunity for research and/or academic affiliation with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, the nation’s first medical school focused at the intersection of healthcare and engineering

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $1,815 - $2,815/shift. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model. Key Responsibilities
The physician will provide hospitalist coverage, including rounding on nursing floors and managing codes in a 12-bed open ICU. They will work within an established program alongside a dedicated nocturnist team and intensivist support.
Requirements
Candidates must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. The role requires the ability to work PRN shifts in a hospital setting.
