Our focus goes beyond providing meals; we create memorable dining experiences, build relationships, and bring people together through hospitality.
Where everyone has a seat at the table.
About the Role
Creative Dining Services is seeking an experienced Corporate Dietitian to provide nutrition leadership, menu guidance, and operational support across multiple food service business segments. This position will have a particular focus on supporting Senior Living and healthcare dining operations, ensuring nutrition programs meet resident needs, support wellness, and align with clinical and regulatory requirements.
As a nutrition subject matter expert, you'll partner with culinary, operations, and business development teams to enhance dining experiences, support resident health and satisfaction, and strengthen nutrition programs across our communities. This role combines nutrition expertise with hands-on operational support, education, program development, and collaboration with teams across the organization. Regular travel to support locations and operations is required.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Nutrition Programs: Develop, implement, and maintain nutrition standards, policies, and procedures across company operations. Evaluate current practices and identify opportunities to strengthen nutrition quality, wellness initiatives, and dining experiences.
- Support Senior Living and Healthcare Dining: Serve as the primary nutrition resource for independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation dining programs. Provide guidance on senior nutrition, malnutrition prevention, therapeutic diets, dysphagia management, and specialized nutrition needs.
- Oversee Menu Development: Lead the creation, review, and implementation of menus that balance nutritional quality, resident preferences, culinary standards, operational needs, and financial expectations. Ensure menus appropriately address the nutritional needs of older adults and individuals requiring therapeutic or texture-modified diets.
- Partner with Culinary Teams: Collaborate with corporate chefs and local culinary teams on seasonal menus, recipes, wellness initiatives, special dining programs, cultural menus, and resident-centered dining experiences. Participate in menu testing, product evaluations, and vendor reviews.
- Provide Nutrition Analysis and Guidance: Conduct nutritional analysis of menus and recipes, evaluate nutritional content, and provide recommendations to improve menu quality and meet applicable nutrition standards.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Provide guidance on federal, state, and local regulations related to food service and nutrition services. Establish and reinforce standards for therapeutic diets, food allergies, nutritional documentation, and menu compliance.
- Support Quality Assurance: Conduct operational assessments and nutrition audits, assist with survey readiness, and partner with community leadership to develop action plans addressing deficiencies or opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with Clinical and Community Teams: Work closely with nursing teams, therapy providers, community leadership, and culinary staff to address resident nutrition concerns and support individualized nutrition needs.
- Develop Training and Education: Create and deliver nutrition education for culinary, dining, clinical, and operations teams. Provide training on therapeutic diets, texture-modified diets, allergens, special nutrition needs, and senior dining best practices.
- Support Resident and Family Education: Develop educational resources and participate in initiatives that promote nutrition, hydration, wellness, and healthy aging for residents and their families.
- Drive Wellness Initiatives: Support the development and implementation of programs focused on hydration, weight management, disease-specific nutrition, and overall resident wellness.
- Support Business Development and Growth: Provide nutrition expertise during new business opportunities, account transitions, acquisitions, and program implementations. Assist with nutrition-related content, presentations, and other business development initiatives.
- Analyze Performance and Identify Improvements: Review nutrition, resident satisfaction, and operational data to identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and recommend improvements that support dining quality and business performance.
- Collaborate Across the Organization: Partner with culinary, operations, purchasing, and business development teams to evaluate products, standardize practices, implement new programs, and support company-wide initiatives.
- Provide Hands-On Support: Travel to locations to provide training, operational guidance, program implementation support, and assistance with special events or other nutrition-related initiatives.
