RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director Physician Operations provides strategic leadership and operational
oversight for multiple divisions within the INTEGRIS Health Medical Group (IHMG)
and/or Hospital Outpatient Department Clinics, including Primary Care,
Specialty, Hospitalists, Corporate Services, and Managed services. This role is
responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, practice
growth, and patient experience across assigned regions and service lines.
The Director leads a team of Managers of Clinic Operations, ensuring alignment
with INTEGRIS Health’s mission, vision, and values while executing strategic
plans and performance objectives.
The Director Physician Operations responsibilities include but are not limited
to the following:
- Provides oversight of day-to-day operations across multiple divisions and
- Translates organizational strategy into operational plans, ensuring
- Partners with physicians and administrative leadership to establish and
- Leads implementation of key initiatives including practice start-ups,
- Directly supervises Manager of Clinic Operations; provides coaching,
- Ensures effective management of clinic practice managers and staff through
- Oversees workforce planning, recruitment support, onboarding, and retention
- Fosters a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Develops and oversees divisional budgets, ensuring fiscal accountability
- Monitors financial performance including revenue cycle metrics, cost
- Leads development and execution of annual business plans for multiple
- Identifies operational and financial improvement opportunities and drives
- Establishes and monitors performance metrics for clinic operations,
- Oversees implementation of site-specific performance goals and improvement
- Recommends and supports facility improvements, including new construction,
- Ensures effective front-line operations through leadership of Managers of
- Leads development of new clinic sites, service lines, and physician
- Supports physician and APP recruitment, onboarding, and manpower planning
- Facilitates integration and transition of new acquired practices.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory requirements,
- Maintains confidentiality and ensures appropriate handling of sensitive
- Ensures adherence to National Patient Safety Goals and organizational
- Serves as a key liaison between clinic operations, physician leadership,
- Participates in enterprise-wide committees and initiatives to support
- Provides regular updates and reporting on operational, financial, and
- Supports effective use of EMR and practice management systems to drive
- Partners with IT and operational teams to optimize workflows, reporting,
- Serves as a resource to managers and physician leadership to complex
- Leads resolution of escalated challenges across clinics and divisions.
- Serves as the primary operational liaison to community and hospital
- Actively participates in community leadership meetings, including hospital
- Collaborates with hospital administrators, service line leaders, and
- Partners with community leadership to identify growth opportunities,
- Supports development and execution of market-specific strategic plans,
- Provides regular updates to community leadership on clinic performance,
- Works collaboratively with community stakeholders to resolve operational
- Ensures physician enterprise representation in community initiatives,
- Achieve pillar KPI targets.
ExExposed to frequent and constant interruptions in daily functions/schedule.
Must be available to customers and staff throughout the day. Must meet strict
deadlines. Exposed to weather conditions when traveling. Required to work
extended hours to meet deadlines and to participate in various assigned
committees.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Master’s degree in healthcare administration or related business field or
ability to achieve within 12 months of hire and 4 years of progressive
management experience in a healthcare environment.
*Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related business field and
six years of progressive management experience in a healthcare environment.
* Experience in a clinical setting preferred
* Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)
