Job Description

Overview

If you strive to deliver this level of care every day, you may be a perfect fit in our healthcare community as an Endocrinologist at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center. This position is available 0.6 FTE to 1.0 FTE and possible hybrid option consisting of both in-person clinic and virtual medicine.

Responsibilities

Medical care of patients:

Provides outpatient and management for patients with diabetes or other endocrine disorders. Is available for inpatient consults via telephone or telemedicine.

Collaborates and consults with physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical resource coordinators and other staff in developing care management strategies and plans.

Responds promptly in writing to referral source with an evaluation and suggested plan of care.

Program Administrations

Collaborates with Medical Director, Administration, other physicians and staff in program development, Lean initiatives and operational problem solving.

  • Attends and participates actively in meetings and other activities as required.
  • Provides medical coordination for the care of adults with diabetes and endocrine disorders.

Provides leadership in strategic planning and program development for Legacy’s Medical Group Endocrinology Program.

Provides leadership in the development of standards, policies, protocols, and quality assurance guidelines for the care of adults with diabetes or endocrine disorders, together with the administrative team and the Clinical Vice President.

Qualifications

MD/DO Graduate of a four-year accredited U. S. Medical school or equivalent.

Completion of residency in Internal Medicine.

Licensure

  • Board eligible/certified in endocrinology.
  • Unrestricted Medical License for the applicable state.
  • Current BLS for Providers certification from the American Heart Association.
