Health First Medical Group is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our established cardiovascular team in Viera, Florida.
This is an exciting opportunity to practice alongside an experienced team of Cardiologists and Advanced Practice Providers, with strong support from Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and an experienced hospitalist team.
What You’ll Do
- As a Cardiology Hospitalist APP, you will play an integral role in the inpatient care of our cardiovascular patients. A typical day will include:
- Performing comprehensive patient assessments and detailed physical examinations
- Evaluating cardiology admissions from the Emergency Department
- Conducting daily rounds on general cardiology and telemetry patients
- Performing inpatient cardiology consultations
- Managing and interpreting cardiac devices and device-related needs
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies
- Managing advanced cardiac medications and treatment plans
- Coordinating interdisciplinary consultations to optimize patient outcomes
- Providing patient and family education
- Facilitating effective discharge planning and transitions of care
Collaborating closely with Cardiologists, hospitalists, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient environment

Key Responsibilities
The Cardiology Hospitalist APP will perform comprehensive patient assessments, conduct daily rounds, and manage cardiac devices for inpatient cardiovascular patients. They will also coordinate interdisciplinary care, interpret diagnostic studies, and facilitate effective discharge planning.
Requirements
Candidates must be a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with eligibility for Florida licensure. Previous cardiology or inpatient experience is preferred, along with strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
