Job description
We are seeking a reliable and confident Supervising Pharmacist / Pharmacist-in-Charge to oversee the daily pharmacy operations of a community-based retail pharmacy. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable Monday–Friday schedule, a manageable prescription volume, and a flexible working environment.
Responsibilities
Serve as the Supervising Pharmacist / Pharmacist-in-Charge and ensure pharmacy operations comply with applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations.
Review, verify, and accurately dispense prescription medications while maintaining a high standard of patient safety.
Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations, including prescription workflow, inventory, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy support staff.
Communicate with patients, physicians, insurance providers, and other healthcare professionals regarding prescriptions and medication-related questions.
Maintain accurate pharmacy records and support the continued growth and efficient operation of the pharmacy.
Requirements
Active New York State pharmacist license in good standing.
Ability and willingness to serve as the Supervising Pharmacist / Pharmacist-in-Charge.
Strong understanding of retail pharmacy operations, prescription processing, and pharmacy compliance requirements.
Experience with Micro Merchant Systems, or similar pharmacy management software preferred; training can be provided if needed.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a responsible and dependable approach to work.
Previous pharmacist experience is preferred, but qualified recent pharmacy graduates with the appropriate licensure and knowledge may also be considered.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10 AM–5:00 PM.
