The Behavioral Health Attendant provides direct, non-clinical support to patients experiencing mental health challenges by performing continuous observations and assisting with daily activities. They collaborate with clinical staff to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and document patient behavior in accordance with established protocols.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience in direct patient care or one year of progressive education in a human services field. The role requires physical ability to perform patient handling tasks and valid certifications in de-escalation and BLS.
