Wellington, Florida Memorial Rehabilitation Institute provides highly specialized care ranging from complex multiple trauma, stroke and brain injury to physical and speech therapy. Inpatient care is offered at Memorial Regional Hospital South, with outpatient care available in five different locations. We also have a home health team and resources for long-term care at Memorial Manor, while also offering therapy for pediatric developmental diagnosis through Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Summary: Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital’s [U18] Sports Medicine therapy program was developed to meet the unique needs of the pediatric and adolescent population for sports injuries and prevention. We provide one-on-one individualized care with highly experienced orthopedic and sports certified physical therapists in four outpatient locations in Broward and Palm Beach counties. -Evaluates and treats patient populations for physical therapy needs. Responsibilities: Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress. Provides information regarding appropriate selection and use of adaptive equipment and support resources. Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition. Supervises activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel. Plans or assists with patient discharge from therapy services. Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to issues identified, required frequency of treatments, and involves the patient and family. Requirements

Candidates must hold a degree from an accredited physical therapy program and possess a valid Florida Physical Therapist license. A BLS certification from the American Heart Association is also required for this role.
