Highlights
Summary: The NP - Nurse Practitioner, Physician Practice shall perform tasks and procedures delegated by the collaborating Physician within their scope of practice. This NP shall perform complete, detailed and accurate histories; as well as to review patient records to develop comprehensive medical status reports. Additionally, the NP will complete physical examinations; make diagnoses and institute therapy, including drug therapy. This individual will institute emergency measures and emergency treatment; arrange hospital admissions and discharges at the direction of the collaborating Physician. The NP may also be required to complete hospital rounds; provide instructions and guidance regarding medical care matters to patients. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education / Experience: Master of Science in Nursing degree required. Minimum 2 years of related nursing experience required. License / Certification: Active Nurse Practitioner license required, active Nurse Practitioner license through American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) required, BLS certification required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Knowledge of basic Windows based PC operations. - Excellent organizational skills. - Good oral and written communication skills. - Ability to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging situations. - Ability to work from broad directions and be self-motivated. - Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency. - Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization. - Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guest, visitors, and patients.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting for 20% of the workday and mobility 80% of the workday.
- There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
- Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
