Key Responsibilities
The Endocrinology Hospitalist provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, including admissions, consultations, and discharge planning for patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders. They also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve glycemic control, quality metrics, and provide education to medical staff and learners.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree, be licensed to practice in Virginia, and possess an active DEA license. Board Certification in Endocrinology or eligibility within 5 years of residency completion is required, along with the ability to obtain medical staff privileges.
