Required Hours: Monday-Friday, 5 days/week, 8am-4:30pm.
Responsibilities
Provides physical therapy specialized care services for patients admitted in the ICU assisting them to reach highest level of physical independence. Patient population including but not limited to: LVAD, IABP, ECMO, and Heart Transplant. Conducts physical therapy evaluations, modalities, and treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease or injury. Specialized in care for complex patient types, through advanced training and education. Responsible for the care of patients treated by residents, therapist assistants, technicians, students, and observers.
Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a BS, MS, or DPT Required
Work Experience
No experience required
Successful completion of the ICU orientation within 1 year of hire Required
Experience with research and analysis of data Preferred
Completion of a physical therapist residency Preferred or
2 years of previous healthcare experience as a Physical therapist Preferred or
Licenses and Certifications
APTA - Physical Therapy specialty certification Preferred
Current licensure in the State of Georgia in applicable field of study Required
Current Georgia Physical Therapist License Required
Maintain current CEU’s as by the State Required
BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA Required
