Job Description

Benefits

  • Opportunity for advancement
  • Training & development
  • Bonus based on performance
  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible schedule

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at Mighty Minds and Muscles Therapy & Coaching Services in a role centered on evaluations, treatment planning, and clinical supervision. If you love the diagnostic and clinical reasoning side of OT — building a comprehensive picture of a child's strengths and needs, and designing the roadmap for their care — this role was made for you.

What makes This Role Special?

This is a clinic-based position with a priority focus on evaluations, treatment planning, and case supervision — and a schedule that's fully flexible to what works for you. Evaluations are scheduled during daytime hours (not after-school hours) and on Saturdays, for those who want it. From there, it's your choice: some therapists prefer to focus solely on evaluations, while others combine morning evaluations with afternoon treatment sessions or additional clinic/school hours. There's no fixed structure — you build the caseload that fits your life.

This flexibility makes it a great fit for a therapist who wants to avoid — or only occasionally take on — afternoon/after-school hours, including clinicians balancing caregiving responsibilities after school. As your involvement grows, there's also the opportunity to step into a mentorship role — supervising and monitoring cases handled by other therapists, and joining occasional treatment sessions for observation and support when needed.

Locations

Clinic-based work: Tribeca, Manhattan & Jersey City

Can be combined with school-based caseloads (all 5 NYC boroughs) or home-based sessions (NYC & Jersey City, Hoboken) if additional hours are desired

  • Fully flexible schedule
  • Ideal for therapists seeking limited or no after-school/afternoon hours
  • Qualifications and requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
  • Active New York State OT License

Strong pediatric evaluation experience (standardized assessment administration and interpretation, sensory integration, handwriting, self-regulation strategies)

  • Experience with treatment plan development preferred
  • Comfort mentoring or supervising other clinicians a plus
  • Creative, motivated, disciplined, and confident working independently
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Benefits

  • Fully flexible, daytime-focused schedule
  • Bonus incentive for exemplary evaluation reports
  • Growth and advancement opportunities, including potential mentorship/supervisory role
  • Ongoing professional development

This is a 1099 contractor position, compensated at an hourly contracted rate, plus a bonus incentive for exemplary evaluations. Although traditional employee benefits are not included, we proudly provide our contractors with mentorship, professional development opportunities, ongoing training, team gatherings, and fun appreciation perks throughout the year.

Compensation within the range will be determined based on the candidate's level of experience, skill set, service type, and the responsibilities of the role.
