Duties & Responsibilities
Provide 24/7 neurosurgical coverage for emergency consults, cranial and spine procedures, inpatient management, and postoperative care across two hospital campuses.
- Perform emergency cranial surgeries including craniotomy, craniectomy, and EVD placement.
- Manage traumatic brain injuries, intracranial hemorrhage, hydrocephalus, and acute spinal cord compression.
- Coordinate care with Neurocritical Care, Neurology, Emergency Medicine, Trauma Services, and Anesthesia.
- Participate in in-house call coverage including weekday, overnight, weekend, and holiday call.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 24/7 neurosurgical coverage for emergency consults, cranial and spine procedures, and inpatient management across two hospital campuses. Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams including Neurocritical Care, Neurology, and Trauma Services.
Requirements
Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible with a valid New Jersey medical license. A minimum of 2-3 years of independent practice experience is preferred, along with expertise in ER cranial and spine procedures.
