Hospital Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner at Women & Infants Hospital

Women & Infants Hospital, one of the nation’s leading specialty hospitals for women and newborns, is seeking a full time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work in our Med/ Surge unit. This 21-bed unit provides comprehensive post-surgical and medical care to women.

Opportunity Highlights

Schedule: Thirteen 12-hour shifts per 4-week block, with up to 50% of those shifts being night shifts (7:00 p. m. – 7:00 a. m.), including rotational weekend and holiday coverage

• Average 6-10 patients per day
• Collaborate care with Women and Infant’s and Brown University’s sub-specialty physicians

Job duties include admissions, health history and physical exams, consults upon request from team while managing medical issues and participating in the medical emergency response team

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Certified by ANCC, AANPCB or NCCPA
• Active Rhode Island, CSR, and DEA license or eligible.
• 1 year of experience preferred
