The Radiation Therapist calibrates and sets up therapy equipment while positioning patients to ensure accurate radiation delivery. They also perform daily quality assurance on departmental equipment and provide instruction to students and medical residents.
Candidates must hold an Associate degree or higher and possess current ARRT (R)(T) certification. A minimum of 3-10 years of experience in radiation therapy is required along with American Heart Association BLS certification.
