Key Responsibilities
The Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant will evaluate patients, perform pre-anesthetic physical exams, and assist anesthesiologists in inducing and maintaining sedation or anesthesia. They are also responsible for monitoring patients, managing life-threatening situations, and providing continuity of care throughout the surgical and postoperative process.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and have successfully completed an accredited anesthesiologist assistant program. Current state licensure and certification from the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants are mandatory.
