Qualifications: Successful completion of an accredited school of nursing for Registered Nursing and graduate-level Nurse Practitioner Program (Master’s or Doctorate degree). National board certification in area of specialty. Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Georgia. Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate. Physical Requirements: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Full range body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Sitting, standing, and walking for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds. Normal or corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. Ability to respond rapidly to potential security and/or medical codes/issues. Remaining awake and alert while on duty for 8 or more hours per shift.

Key Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner will diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses for patients of all ages. They are responsible for conducting physical exams, ordering diagnostic tests, and providing health education and preventative care services.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a graduate-level degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and possess national board certification. A current Georgia license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner and a valid DEA certificate are required.
