Key Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will serve as a surgical first assistant in the operating room, performing vein harvesting and radial artery procurement. They will also conduct inpatient consultations and manage pre-operative workups in collaboration with cardiovascular surgeons.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program and possess current Michigan licensure. A minimum of 2 years of OR first assist experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery is required, along with BLS, ACLS, and RNFA certifications.
