Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner), PA (Physician's Assistant) Medical Oncology

. This is a contract, on-site position offering an opportunity to provide high-quality oncology care within a collaborative clinical environment.

In this role, you will support the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with cancer under the supervision of medical oncology physicians. You will work closely with the care team to deliver patient-centered services, including treatment planning, symptom management, patient education, and follow-up care throughout the continuum of oncology treatment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations
• Support diagnostic workup and interpret laboratory and imaging results for oncology patients
• Develop and manage treatment plans in collaboration with supervising oncologists
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments as per protocol
• Manage treatment-related side effects and provide symptom control and supportive care
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and self-care strategies
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation and medical records
• Participate in patient follow-up, survivorship planning, and end-of-life care discussions
• Adhere to clinical guidelines, safety standards, and institutional policies

Requirements

• Valid license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Lebanon
• Relevant degree in Nursing, Physician Assistant Studies, or a related health science field
• Prior experience in oncology, hematology-oncology, or a related specialty is preferred
• Working knowledge of chemotherapy administration, toxicity management, and oncology protocols
• Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients and families
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary medical team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation
• Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuous professional development

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

No call shifts required

Setting: Outpatient

Daily Volume: 10 patients

Must be board-certified
