Schedule

• Coverage required from Friday at 17:00 to Monday at 07:00..

Practice Environment

• Combination of inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Trauma Level: III.

Patient Demographics

• Adult and geriatric populations.
• Case mix: Approximately 70% oncology and 30% hematology; Internal Medicine cases are not included.

Staffing

• Only one physician on site; there is no Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support.

Patient Load

• Outpatient setting (clinic/office): Average of 12-25 patients per day.
• Inpatient setting (hospital call/rounding): Average of 2-8 patients per day.

Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

System

• Utilizes Epic.

Credentialing Timeline

• Temporary privileges can be processed within 3-14 days post-application submission.
• Permanent privileges typically take 2-3 months.

Compensation

• Full travel expenses will be covered.

Required Qualifications

• Board Certification in Medical Oncology (mandatory).
• Board Certification in Hematology (highly preferred).
• Active Virginia Medical License (mandatory).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (mandatory).
