The Behavioral Health Attendant provides direct, non-clinical support to patients experiencing mental health challenges by performing continuous observations and assisting with daily activities. They collaborate with clinical staff to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment while documenting patient behavior and mood.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience in direct patient care or one year of progressive education in a human services field. Additionally, the role requires certification in facility-approved de-escalation and restraint techniques, as well as BLS training.
